Responsibilities

 

We’re currently looking for a creative, results-focused Account Manager with B2B tech PR experience to join our global virtual team. This person will take a lead role in managing client PR programs through traditional and social media channels. Here’s an overview of what you’ll be doing day to day:

  • Work with VP and/or Account Director to lead day-to-day activities for each account; serve as a main point of contact along with account lead

  • Design and execute strategic communications programs for a dedicated set of accounts

  • Drive media coverage through sound outreach, appropriate target research, story development, campaign strategy and strong relationships with technology media

  • Develop and edit outcome-driven materials including press releases, fact sheets, messaging guidance, executive bios, media briefing documents, bylined articles, award and speaking submissions, Q&As and more

  • Oversee/assist with analyst relations programs

  • Exhibit a thorough understanding of each account’s business and outcomes, plus its competitors, market landscape and industry trends

  • Supervise progress of account teams on program execution and creative strategy; set expectations with client and ensure deadlines are met

  • Guide all team members on PR best practices in media relations, research, writing and reporting

  • Participate in new business opportunities when appropriate

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • 5-7 years of experience working in B2B technology PR in an agency and/or in-house communications role

  • Strong critical thinker and problem solver

  • Thrives working in dynamic and fast-paced environment with shifting priorities, expectations, and deadlines

  • Skilled at managing, cultivating and navigating client dynamics and relationships

  • Comfortable hitting goals and deadlines while managing shifting priorities and expectations

  • Exceptional time management, detail orientation, proofreading, and organizational skills

  • Strong working knowledge of MSFT Office Suite, while experience with Microsoft Teams, Cision, TrendKite and other social and PR tools and technology is a plus

  • Must be authorized to work in the US and hold a BS/BA from an accredited university or equivalent qualification/experience
